Dear Prospective Postdocs / Ph.D. and M.S. students!
Before applying, we expect prospective candidates to familiarize themselves with Prof. Jip Kim's recent publications, which can be found here. Candidates should have a background in electrical engineering—preferably with concentrations in power engineering, control, or networking—or a related field such as applied mathematics, operations research, industrial/mechanical engineering, computer science, etc.

Undergraduate research opportunity (July 1 - Dec 31, 2023):
Professor Jip Kim and Gyu-Sub Lee will have undergraduate students participate in projects related to power systems as listed below.
Prof. Kim - Value of Energy Storage System (ESS) for Decarbonization of Power Grids [link]
Prof. Kim - Data-driven Stochastic Power Grid Operation [link]
These projects will take place from July 1 to December 31, 2023 (the project manager may approve of partial participation). Students who participate in the project will receive the stipend in accordance with the regulations of KENTECH. Thus, students who are currently participating in undergraduate research programs are not qualified to apply.
