
Jip is an assistant professor of Energy Engineering at Korea Institute of Energy Technology (KENTECH). Prior to coming to KENTECH, Jip worked as a postdoctoral research scientist at the Electrical Engineering department at Columbia University hosted by Dr. Gil Zussman and Dr. James Anderson. He received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering at New York University (NYU), where he worked with Dr. Yury Dvorkin. He received the B.S and M.S degrees in Electrical Engineering from Yonsei University and Seoul National University. His research focuses on developing mathematical models and optimization algorithms to solve power system engineering and energy economics problems.
